(See “Importance of Clean Air” section below). About the Product: This twin bladed fan system fits into most small room windows. Included with the product is a specially fitted filter and silver anodized aluminum bracket for easy changes. The specially fitted filter bracket is rust proof and corrosion resistance for trouble free use in exposed environments. The filters are specially manufactured to fit the filter bracket (size 21.75 x 13 x 1 in). To change loosen the two retainer screws at one end and slip off the end piece, pull out the filter and replace with a new one. Re-tighten screws. Recommended that you replace filters every 30-90 days depending on how dirty the filter gets (see photos). Durability: The fan shown in the photo has been in continuous use for over ELEVEN years 24/7 with no loss of power or mechanical failure and comes from a reliable manufacture with many years of delivering durable high quality fans. What You Get With each fan system you get the twin bladed fan, the fitted filter bracket and 2 MERV 14 filters**. It is recommended that you purchase an additional box of 6 filters for up to 1 1/2 years use. A 24 in piece of 1/2 inch stiff gator board is included so that you can seal off any gap in the placement of the fan in your window. We recommend Scotch white masking tape to seal off any cracks and openings for air and insect exclusion. Handymen or remodelers may have their own installation preferences. The twin bladed fan has a thermostatic control so that you can use only when temperatures are at a level you wish to filter. We recommend running the fan continually regardless of temperature to insure a continuous flow of filtered air though this may not be practical in all climates. Each fan blade has its own speed controls. We do not sell the filter bracket assembly separately to assure that the bracket is correctly mated to the fan and avoid the hassle of a incorrect fitting when fitted to another product or model. In the event of fan failure, the bracket can be easily removed and the fan returned for warranty replacement. The 65 watt motors can be run off a 100 watt solar panel during sunny hours. Overnight one 12 volt standard fully charged battery will provide about 12 hours of run time. Sleeping in filtered air is highly recommended. |
